Venkata Tanay Kasyap Kondiparthy

Venkata Tanay Kasyap Kondiparthy is a Predoctoral Fellow working with Professors Samuel Kortum and Nicholas Ryan on projects related to unilateral carbon policies and dynamic mechanism design games in energy grid allocations. He holds a MSc in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics from the London School of Economics, a MSc in Economics, and a BS in Economics from the University of Warwick.  His research interests are in economic theory, labour and macroeconomics.

 

Before joining at Yale, Tanay worked as a research assistant at the Centre for Time Use Research, University College London, focusing on child labour and time use in partnership with the International Labour Organisation. He also worked on extending the Universal Type Space of Mertens and Zamir to games with a continuum of agents for macroeconomic models, a project published in the Warwick Economics Student Working Paper Series. Additionally, he received an undergraduate research grant from the Warwick Medical School to investigate long-term physical activity trends in the United Kingdom. At LSE, he worked on contracting issues in vertical markets aimed at countervailing market power.
