Sam Salwan

Postgraduate Associate

Sam Salwan is a Predoctoral Fellow at the Economic Growth Center working with Professor Rohini Pande within Yale Inclusion Economics on projects related to climate, labor, and social protection in South Asia.

Prior to joining EGC, they worked with the World Bank’s Social Protection and Labor team and held research positions at MIT and the Brookings Institution, focusing on climate adaptation, gender, and development. They hold dual Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science, Economics & Data Science, and Political Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, with a minor in Mathematics. Their research interests include climate and environmental economics, labor markets, and political economy.
