David Alzate is a Masters’ in Public Policy student at the Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs (class of 2024) and served as an EGC Intern Research Manager during the 2022-23 school year. At EGC, he is supported the Latin America and the Caribbean and Markets and Development initiatives. Born and raised in Quito, Ecuador, David previously spent four years working at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, working with government partners and donors to generate and apply insights from randomized controlled trials. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service with Honors in International Political Economy from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
