Primarily supporting the Economic Growth Center's research initiatives, Prajval Jhunjhunwala was a joint MPP/MBA degree candidate at the Jackson School of Global Affairs and the Yale School of Management. While at Yale, he explored climate justice and resilience building, especially in the context of fragile and conflict-affected situations, while also working with organizations investing in socially responsible entrepreneurship and aid.

For four years prior to graduate school, Prajval worked in development policy implementation and research with the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) in South Asia. He helped establish innovative pollution mitigation policies and market-based mechanisms across India to manage high industrial particulate matter pollution. He also worked to build better data infrastructure capabilities within local governments in India and helped execute a large-scale randomized evaluation of a new telehealth access program within remote and rural areas in India. He collected data and analyzed results in teams with researchers across diverse domains of expertise and built capacity and technical expertise within regulatory bodies in India. He had extensive grant-making and project management experience and was passionate about building cultures of belonging and progressive institutions.

Born in Kolkata, India, Prajval previously worked as an analyst for Microsoft in Singapore and received his undergraduate degree in economics with a data analytics concentration from the Singapore Management University.
