The Yale Development Dialogues
Virtual panel discussions applying lessons from history and economics to help address pressing policy problems in low- and middle-income countries.
Economic Policy Lessons from History
The Yale Development Dialogues convened economists, historians, journalists, and policymakers to apply insights from history and economics to the most pressing global policy issues confronting low- and middle- income countries: health, the environment, inequality, gender, and education. The series began with the aim of sparking conversations that cross lines of geography, discipline, and historical period.
The various discussions in the Yale Development Dialogues series involved joint collaboration between the EGC and several other entities at the university, including the Department of History, the Jackson Institute for Global Affairs, and the South Asian Studies Council at the MacMillan Center.
