Charting the Future of Economics, Governance, and Economic Development in the United States and Beyond is a mini-conference examining the future direction of multidisciplinary research in history, economics, and public policy in areas of research influenced by the publications of Professor Naomi Lamoreaux. The conference will focus on several areas to which Professor Lamoreaux has made significant contributions: organization of firms and corporations; innovation and patents; and archival research.  The event will bring together esteemed economists, historians, law experts, and policy experts and will emphasize interdisciplinary collaboration and research methods. This conference will include a substantial component on the United States but not limited to the United States and cover themes with broader implications both in terms of disciplines and scope.

The event receives additional support from the Yale Department of Economics, Yale Department of History, the Institution for Social and Policy Studies (ISPS), and the Whitney and Betty MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies.
